YOU SAID:

Hey Stefan, We should catch up over VTC or Slack tomorrow if you have time to quickly go over some of this. Overall, I think it’s progressing, but a little concerned on how you’re planning on really narrowing in with the script, without a few more iterations and each iteration is really costly. My notes: · Timezones are hard · Liked the idea to use groovy given the constraints at sentinel Lost a week during a handoff, while Stefan went OOTO Had a VTC with Joel, which I thought was a good idea Lost a week during HC6 There's been a lot of back and forth on the ticket about modifying scripts I think things are moving, but I think I may have gone with a different approach because I think the groovy script isn't giving you a full picture of what's happening from ETE. Also each iteration is expensive since you have to write it, requires Joel to type it up, and it takes a long time to run onsite. They have an existing patch branch, may have been easier and less error prone to spin up a patch with logging at each step, rather than trying to recreate the object load process using the API. Also, given that this only seems to affect objects that are using custom permissions and that the aclViewer.sh said one of the ACLs did not exist, is there a reason we haven't tried to chase down that angle? I suspect that one/some of the secure components are getting assigned an invalid aclId. I think it might be worth investigating that angle a bit more since I think you could do that with existing tools. -Chris

Come on, you can do better than that.
