ML/AI is a relative newcomer to the security field, however is still a completely viable tool to assist with this. The analysis portion of the work has been in the field for years, however it is time to up the game and use this to the fullest reasonable extent. The InfoSec industry has the option of ignoring this with their head in the sand and being overrun at yet a greater pace, hoping the threat landscape gets better as the attackers eat our lunch, or utilize the obvious choice, leveraging the full potential to event he game.
