The setting of the novel Seedfolks by Paul Fleischman takes place in Cleveland Ohio in the 1800-1900’s. in a filthy abandoned lot, In a poor meager neighborhood where people would throw garbage out the windows is where the story began. And one little girl used a section of the lot to garden and then people started coming and helping clean it up and made a garden but after winter and most of the plants died because of the harsh weather so then people would have to start over. Each chapter in the story is every person that worked on the garden and helped and as the years passed more people would come and work on the garden. As every person came the garden got cleaner and nicer.
